HOCKEY
N.Z. WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION. TRIAL GAME TO BE HELD. A total membership of 23 affiliated associations shown in the annual report of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association. The number of players registered in 4326. A satisfactory financial position is shown and the report states that the support accorded the art union held by the association will help considerably with the forthcoming English tour. On the recommendation of the New Zealand selectors, Mrs Poulter and Messrs Hamilton and Maloney, the association has decided to hold a trial game. Associations have been asked to forward names of players for consideration. It is proposed to hold the game at Palmerston North on June 18.
