MARTINBOROUGH
BADMINTON CLUB. ’ (“Times-Age" Special.) The annual general meeting of the Badminton Club was held last evening in the Oddfellows’ Hall. There was a poor attendance of members. Mr G. Simpson presided. A report on the year’s activities was presented, and the balance sheet disclosed a satisfactory financial position. Mrs Hardinge, Misses Cave and O. Lenz were elected members. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs Geo. Pain; vice-presi-dent, Mr W. G. Martin; club captain, Mr G. S. Simpson; secretary-treasurer, Mr Owen Grant; committee, Mrs Turner, Miss Mahood, Messrs E. McAlpine, P. Martin, S. Davidson; delegates to Wairarapa Association, Messrs Simpson, Grant and G. McLeod; auditor, Mr F. S. Michell. Mr McLeod’s work as club captain during the past three years was recorded and the club’s thanks and appreciation were extended to him.
