Little Tommy was taken out to tea with the neighbours. In the middle of the meal he turned to his hostess and asked her in his best conversational manner: “Did you enjoy your holidays, Mrs Jones?” “My holidays?” said Mrs Jones. “I’m afraid I don’t understand. I haven’t been away.” “Oh,” said Tommy, “I thought you had. I heard mother say that you and Mr Jones had been at Loggerheads for the past fortnight.”
