MAURICEVILLE

1 TABLE TENNIS. (“Times-Age” Special) The Mauriceville Table Tennis Club opened the season last night. There was a record attendance, visitors coming from considerable distances. Several new members have joined and the club hopes to have a very successful season. Games were played for Combined Yankee Doubles which were won by Miss H. Wink and Mr Jack Nicol, run-ners-up being Miss M. Freeman and Mr G. Fraser. This game was watched with great interest. The winners were presented with trophies. Supper was served by the ladies and a dance was held subsequently. The Mauriceville East Table Tennis Club will open the season next week. PERSONAL. Mr W. Fergus has returned from a short holiday spent in Dunedin.
