Passengers who arrived in Sydney on April 5 by the Niew Holland, from Singapore, told of how the liner went 250 miles off her course on March 27. to the assistance of the K.P.M. freighter Baud, which was in danger on Boei Reef, at Kei Islands (Dutch East Indies). The pictures show:—l. passengers being transferred to the liner, and later. 2. being transhipped to the Dutch Government steamer Albatross, which arrived to arrange the salvage of the freighter.
