FAREWELL GATHERING.

Miss P. Dixon, who has been on the clerical staff of the Masterton Corporation Gas Dept for some years past and who had tendered her resignation to take up a position in Tauranga, was entertained by the office staff and presented with a camera. Mr D. T. Herbert made the presentation and extended the best wishes of the staff. Other speakers were Mr T. T. Dcnbee, Mr B. Braggins, Mr C. R. Mabson, Mr J. McGregor and Mr Russell. On Thursday evening the members' of the Gasworks staff farewelled Miss Dixon and Mr Douglas, on behalf of the staff, presented her with a handsome handbag. Miss Dixon suitably acknowledged both gifts. Miss Dixon left on Monday for Tauranga.
