A JEWISH STATE
PRIVATE MEMBER’S BILL IN COMMONS AID FOR THE PERSECUTED LONDON, April 12. In the House of Commons Commander O. S. Locker-Lampson, by the casting vote of the Speaker, secured leave to introduce the Jewish Citizenship Bill. He explained that the Bill permitted potentially persecuted Jews to become Palestinians. A Jewish State with a population of millions would be a buffer against an enemy attempting to cut the oil line to the Suez Canal.
