OBITUARY
MRS H. NIELSEN. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital this morning of a very highly esteemed resident of Carterton Mrs H. Nielsen, after a short illness. Mrs Nielsen, who was predeceased by her husband a number of years ago, had since her husband’s retirement from active farming resided at Pembroke Street, Carterton. Before that Mrs Nielsen lived at Matarawa, where her husband was one of the successful pioneer farmers. Mrs. Nielsen is survived by her stepdaughter, Mrs Clarence Lee, widow of the late Lieut. Lee and by several nephews and nieces by marriage, including Mr W. Nielsen, Dalefield and Mrs K. J. Ashton. Mrs Nielsen was well known for her many benevolent acts and was a loyal supporter of the Red Cross movement in war years.
