<•> MASTERTON SALE FAT SHEEP DEARER The N.Z. Farmers’ Coop. Distributing Co.. Lid., report they had a good yarding of fat sheep and a small entry of stores at their Masterton sale yesterday. Fat sheep were a Is and Is 6d dearer than last week, while stores were firm at late rates. The following are some of their sales: —F.D. Southdown Ewes. 19s Gd to 19s 9cl; 2-tooth Wethers. 225; fat lambs, 18s 3d; W.F. ewe lambs 20s.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. .Ltd., report having held their weekly- sale yesterday, when only a smalLentry of stock came forward. They had practically a total clearance al late rates. Light fat ewes made 14s 6d; aged ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 16s; good b.f. lambs. 16s 9d; small w.f. lambs, 12s; store cows, £2 10s; wcaner pigs, 9s to 13s
Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—-We held our weeklysale nt Masterton yesterday- when only a small entry of sheep and cattle came forward. Sheep met with good competition and prices were firmer. Only- a few dairy- cattle were offered and sold at late rates. Prices were: — B.F. lambs (medium). 13s lOd to 14s 7d; small de.. 8s 9d io 9s 6d; forward ewes, Ils 6d. Cow and calf, £5 ss; empty cows, £3 4s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their weekly Masterton sale as follows: —A small entry- of sheep came forward and met with a good sale from a large attendance. Prices remained firm on last week, and we report a total clearance as follows: —B.F. lambs, 13s lOd; medium do.. 10s. 10s 4d, Ils to Ils 9d; small do., Bs, 9s to 9s Bd.
