MAURICEVILLE
(“Times-Age” Special.) On Tuesday evening the friends of Miss E. Clarke gathered at the East Hall to tender her a kitchen tea. A very enjoyable evening was spent. Misses I. Larsen and G. Frederickson supplied the music and kept things going with a swing. Mr H. Myers called on Miss Clarke and congratulated her, asking her to open the numerous parcels. Mr A. Forsberg, on behalf of the Mauriceville West people, asked Miss Clarke to accept a beautiful set of fish knives and forks. Mr W. Cheetham also presented Miss Clark with a sweet set and from the Institute Mrs Freeman handed her a gift of - crystal. All wished Miss Clarke every happiness for the future. Mr A. Clarke replied on behalf of his daughter. Supper was served and dancing continued till a late hour. PERSONAL. Miss M. Kenny has left on holiday, which she intends to spend in Pahiatua and Wellington. Mrs H. Trass has left for a holiday in the South Island.
