M. DALADIER’S PROPOSALS CONTROL OF EXPENDITURE. SOME SPECIAL TAXES. (Recd This Day, 9.50 a.m.) PARIS, April 12. The Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies examined M. Daladier’s plans. He asks for decree powers in finance until July 31 and proposes to bring all expenditure within the framework of—the Budget. He also proposes a slight increase in taxation, special taxes on industries engaged in rearmament and additional advances from the Bank of France to a limit of £63,000,000, with a loan if the advances are insufficient.
