The Labour problem is becoming more dangerous hourly. M. Daladier, reading a ministerial declaration in the Chamber of Deputies, appealed to workers and employers to settle disputes by conciliation. He said the Government intends to

submit Bills completing a modern labour charter. The slowing down of the defence programme could not be permitted.
