Mrs A. Hornblow, of Wellington, is on a visit to Masterton. Mrs J. Whitehead, Hastings, is staying with her sister, Mrs McAllister, Masterton. Mr and Mrs E. Lyons and Mr and Mrs Faulknor, Hastings, are visiting Masterton. Miss Kitty Martin, Martinborough, is the guest of Mrs Hugh Webb, Christchurch. Mrs Arthur Warren (Wairarapa), who has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs J. Minty, Christchurch, has left on her return to the north. Mrs J. Simpson, of Dunedin, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs C. Wright, of Church Street. Mrs A. Speedy, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs W. H. Saunders, Essex Street, Masterton, Mrs Wilson, Stanley Street, Parkville, is spending a fortnight’s holiday with Miss Christie, Kilbirnie, Wellington. Mrs C. Hodgins has returned to “Leylands,” much improved in health after having spent ten weeks in the Burnside medical hospital. Mr and Mrs McKinstry, Te Wharau, have as their guests Miss Jean Lane and Miss Ruth Jefferson, Gisborne, Miss Marie Matthews, Waipukurau. and Miss Merle Gibson, Feilding. Mrs. A. de B. Brandon has returned to Wellington from the Wairarapa, where she was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. W. R. Birch, who has gone to Wellington to spend a few days.

Many of the early settlers of Kopuaranga and Masterton will be pleased to learn that Mrs Alex Stewart, who now resides in Palmerston North, spent a very happy 79th birthday this month. Mrs Stewart whose family numbered twelve, seven of whom are living, enjoys excellent health and takes an active interest in many organisations in Palmerston . North, spending her life in the interests of others. All her family were present on the occasion of her birthday and spent an enjoyable time with her. Mrs Stewart will be a visitor to Masterton. at the end of this month, when she will be the guest of Mrs K. Stewart, Te Ore Ore.
