FINAL FIGURES
THE AUSTRO-GERMAN VOTE NINETY-NINE PER CENT. FOR UNION BERLIN, April 11. The official • result in the German section of the plebiscite on the question of Austrian union with Germany shows that of 41,060,095 persons eligible to vote, 40,822,959 voted. Their verdict was: Yes, 40,413,316; no, 404,574; invalid 65.096. The percentage in favour of the union was 99. NATIONAL VOTING. GERMAN & AUSTRIAN RETURNS. (Recd This Day, 10.15 a.m.) BERLIN, April 11. Revised provisional figures for Germany alone show that of an electorate of 45,248,858. 45,041,996 voted. The “Yes” vote totalled 44,531,450 and the “No” vote 450,899. Invalid votes numbered 69,647. The percentage in favour of union was 98.47. In Austria alone, the electorate total was 4,298,092. The number of votes was 4,284,795. There were 4,267,819 “Yes” votes and 11,281 “No” votes. There were 5,695 invalid votes and the percentage in favour of union was 99.65.
