OTAGO WOMEN’S TITLE. WON BY MRS. HODGSHUN By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 10. Mrs H. Dodgshun, of the Otago Golf Club, won her eighth Otago provincial championship, when she beat Miss Claire Smith, the promising young Invercargill player, 2 up in the final of, an interesting competition. RIVERSIDE CLUB’S OPENING DAY. A RECORD ATTENDANCE. There was a record attendance at the Riverside Golf Club’s links on Saturday, when the season was officially opened. The president, Mr G. F. Candy, in declaring the season open, expressed his confidence that the club would enjoy another successful season. Mrs Palamontain, ladies’ club captain, drove the first ball. A mixed foursome was played, the winners being Mrs Beecroft and B. L. Larson. The links were in splendid order. Afternoon tea was supplied by the lady members of the club. MAHUNGA CLUB. BOGEY COMPETITION. The following were the best cards returned for the bogey round played on Saturday: — T. Nelson, 4 up; J. L. Hughes, 4 up; W. Johansen, 2 up; A. McGregor, 3 up; E. J. Reid, 2 up; D.
