DISTINGUISHED DOCTOR
WELCOME IN METHODIST HALL. On Wednesday evening, at 7.30 o'clock, in the Methodist Hall, a welcome will be extended to Dr. Allen Rutter, M. 8., Ch. B.. D.T.M. and H. (London), F.R.C.S., Edin., and to Mrs Rutter.
Dr. Allen Rutter received his early education at the Masterton West School and later at the Wairarapa High School, going then to the Otago School of Medicine. After six years he graduated with the degrees of M.B. and Ch.B., and then proceeded to England. where, after the comparatively short period of 18 months, he brilliantly secured the much-coveted degree for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and then the F.R.C.S.
An opportunity will be available on Wednesday evening for Masterton citizens to worthily welcome this highly qualified young man, who has decided to place his services at the disposa lof the Methodist Missions in the Solomon Islands, for which destination he leaves towards the end of the month.
