POLO TOURNAMENT
CUP WON BY HAWKE’S BAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, April 10. Hawke’s Bay won the Dewar Cup at the polo clubs’ yankee tournament which concluded yesterday, by the defeat of Poverty Bay A by Wallingford. Waipawa were successful in the senior handicap. Results are as follows:— Senior grade, open: Rangitikei 7, Poverty Bay B 1; Walingford 3, Poverty Bay A 1; Masterton A 4, Waipawa 2. Handicap: Rangitikei (6) 13, Poverty Bay B (10), 11; Wallingford (3) 6, Poverty Bay A (3) 4; Waipawa (10) 12, Masterton (6) 10. Ladies’ bracelet (two-furlong sprint): Mrs K. McK. Duncan’s Matrimony 1, Mrs E. W. Symes’s Nimbel 2, Mrs W. Duncan's Party 3. Polo Cup (three-furlong sprint): S. Kirkpatrick’s entry 1, Mrs K. McK. Duncan’s Matrimony 2, J. Duncan’s The Jew 3.
