THE SHORT SKIRT
A PARIS EDICT. Dress designers in Hollywood will revolt against an edict from Paris that skirts are to be shorter. Milo Anderson, a designer, said that gowns for his studio's stars will actualy be longer for the coming season. "Skirts,” he said, “will in fact clear the floor by not more than 12in. A skirt clearing the floor by 16in reveals a naturally ugly break in the feminine leg. “As a matter of fact, there are few stars to-day whose legs would bear showing.”
