Mrs S. Cooper, Taueru, has'returned from a visit to Palmerston North.

Mrs W. P. Cooke, of Nelson, is visiting her mother, Mrs Tankersley, of Johnston Street, Mrs Wilkinson, of Palmerston North, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. G. G. Hancox, the School House, Renall St. Miss Winnie Wilton of Martinborough, is visiting Mrs Goodwin of Mangatainoka. The Misses Vallance, Cole Street, have returned from a visit to Paekakariki. Mrs Stuart is staying with her daughter, Mrs. E. F. Barton, Lansdowne. Dr Ada Platts-Mills who has been visiting Masterton, has been the guest of Mrs R. C. Drummond during the past week. Mrs Humber, who has returned from an extended visit to England, is the guest of Mrs E. G. Norman, Cole St. Mrs A. T. Thompson and Miss Robiner Thompson, Upper Plain, are spending several weeks in the South Island. Mrs A. R. Bunny, Masterton, and Mrs Brooks, who have been spending some weeks in Auckland, will return to Masterton on Monday. Mrs C. H. Barber, of Carterton, is at present indisposed and is confined to her room at her residence, Pembroke Street. Miss McClymont, who has rendered faithful and appreciated service as organist at the Church of the Epiphany, Kuripuni, has had to give up this duty, and has been succeeded by Mrs W. G. Perry. The engagement is announced of Ily Isabel, younger daughter of Mrs M. Scott, of 91 Worksop Road, Masterton, and the late Mr T. V. Scott, of Havelock, Marlborough, to Alfred Percy, son of Mr and Mrs A. P. Southey, Manaia, Masterton. Celebrating their silver wedding at Greytown today are Mr and Mrs Joseph Edward Raison, whose marriage took place at St Luke’s Church, Greytown, on April 9, 1913. Mr Raison is the son of the late Mr J. E. Raison, and Mrs Raison wac formerly Miss Leila Gray.
