SUDETEN GERMANS

DEMANDS BEING PRESSED IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA. PARTY WALKS OUT OF CHAMBER. PRAGUE, April 7. The Sudeten Germans dramatically walked out of the Chamber in the last session before Easter, after a speech by the Leader, Herr Kundt, saying that recent developments had shown that the Coalition parties did not intend to change the present system. A London message states that the “Daily Telegraph’s” Prague correspondent says it is understood the Governmental parties gave wide powers to Dr HodzaC Prime Minister) to negotiate within three limits —(1) No alteration to Czechoslovakia’s foreign policy. (2) No territorial autonomy. (3) The unconditional loyalty of the Sudeten German Party to the State, including the cessation of propaganda. Leading members of the Henlein Party have made it. clear that they will not recognise these limits and want Czechoslovakia to drop her pact with Russia and to insist on territorial autonomy. The Henlein indicated that the dualism wanted was similar to that in pre-war Austria and Hungary.

The party flag of Henlein supporters was flown today beside the Czechoslovagian ..flag over the Town Hall at Marienbad, but was removed later at the request of the police.
