WOMEN & PEACE
CONFERENCE IN AUSTRALIA DELEGATES FROM MANY ORGANISATIONS SYDNEY, April 7. The Australian Women's Peace Conference opened at Sydney with an attendance comprising delegates from more than 50 organisations. Greetings were received from Lord Cecil, Lady Gladstone, Miss Megan Lloyd George, Miss Eleanor Rathbone, and other leaders of the international peace campaign. Several New Zealanders were present at the conference, which was opened by Lady Street, wife of the New South Wales Lieutenant-Govern-or.
Discussions are proceeding on the sanctity of treaties and collective security.
