SUSTENANCE FRAUD
SALESMAN FINED CHRISTCHURCH, April 7. A fine of £5O was imposed in the Magistrates’ Court today on William Albert Gaines, who was charged with having made false sustenance statements. The police stated that Gaines had travelled New Zealand selling carpets.
