FEATHERSTON COUNTY

SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL POSITION. The Featherston County Council finished the financial year with a credit balance in the general account of £5061, as compared with a credit on March 31. 1937, of £1750. It was pointed out at this morning’s meeting of the council that the satisfactory financial position was due to the fact that the actual expenditure had fallen about £2OOO short of the estimated amount.
