MEETING OF MASTERTON CLUB PREPARATIONS FOR JUDGING DAY About 30 members were present at the monthly meeting of the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club last night. The following judging teams were selected to represent the club at the Wairarapa inter-club judging day at Solway Showgrounds on April 27:— Romneys: A. Southey, W. Perry, J. S. Mackay. Herefords: R. Campbell, T. H. Vallis, K. MacGillivray. Ayrshires: E. Henderson, C. Welch. H. Miller. Horses: G. Blatchford, P. Wyeth, B. McKenzie.

It is hoped that the four English young farmers, who are at present in Australia, will be in Masterton for the judging day. The possibility of holding a dance in the evening was considered.

An instructive address was given by Mr C. Dickie on “The Duties of a Farm Dairy Instructor.”

A challenge from the Tinui Club for a debate was accepted, and Messrs J. Coom, G. Blatchford and J. S. Mackay were appointed to represent the club.
