RUGBY SELECTORS

WAIRARAPA APPOINTMENTS Messrs McKenzie and reid Mr E. McKenzie, chairman of the All Black Selection Committee, was elected senior sole selector to the Wairarapa Rugby Union at its annual meeting on Saturday night. Mr McKenzie, who has been closely associated with New Zealand and Wairarapa rugby as a player, administrator and selector over a period of 40 years, was first elected Wairarapa selector in 1913. With the exception of three seasons he has since then acted as either sole selector or on the selection committee.

Last year Mr L. Roach was senior selector. He did not seek re-election. Mr K. Reid, of Carterton, an ex-All Black and a Wairarapa representative for many years, was appointed junior sole selector. Mr J. C. D. Mackley, last year’s junior selector, did not seek reappointment.
