WELLINGTON SALES. PRICES EASIER. At the sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow, held yesterday by the Wellington brokers, prices generally showed a decline from those of the previous auction. Sheepskins: The firm tone of the last sale was lacking yesterday, and prices for medium and coarse grades eased by Id per lb., while finer grades showed a greater decline. Hides: Although competition from the local tanning trade was rather brisk, the market with the exception of heavy weights, which remained firm, was generally lower. Light and medium declined by Jd per lb., and kip, yearling and calfskins by 3-8 d per lb. Tallow: The market was still in a weak state, and prices showed little change on late rates. The range of prices is as follows: — Dry sheepskins: Halfbred, 5:Jd to 7-Jd; fine crossbred, 6Jd to BJd; medium crossbred, sid to B.',d; coarse crossbred, 6d to 8d; half-wools, sid to 7d; quarter-wools, 3Jd to 6]d; pelts, 31d to 42d. Salted skins: Three-quarter-wools, to 4/3; half-wools, to 3/9. Hides: Ox, 331 b. to 441 b., 3d to 4 7-8 d; 451 b to 521 b, 4 l-8d to 5Jd; 531 b to 591 b, 3£d to 6 5-8 d; 601 b to 691 b, 4Jd to 71cl; 701 b and over, 7J;d. Cow, 331 b to 391 b, 4d to 5 l-8d; 401 b to 481 b, 4d to 5 l-8d; 491 b and over, 4 l-8d to sid. Kip, 251 b to 321 b, 4d to 5 l-8d; 171 b to 241 b, 2d to 6Jd. Yearling, 11 lb to 161 b, 4d to 7d. Calf, 91b to 101 b, 3 3-8 d to 7d; 61b to 81b, 3 7-8 d to 7Jd; 11b to 51b, 2;'d to Bd. Tallow: In casks, etc., 14/3 to 16/-; in tins, 8/-.
