EFFECT OF LEGISLATION. COUNTRY'S INCREASED BURDEN. An indication that, following the increase in rales in Franklin County this financial year, from 1 7-8 d in the pound to 2.1-Bd, there would be a further increase in the coming financial year, was made at a meeting of the Franklin County Council.
