CANTON ISLAND
PAN-AMERICAN AIRWAYS' GRANTED LICENCE.
(Received This Day, 2.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 1
The Government has granted a licence to Pan-American Airways to establish a base on Canton Island, permitting the erection of buildings and granting ground facilities. The company, however, cannot allow the foreign use of these faculties without the permission of the United States.
