PREPARATION FOR NEXT PRODUCTION SEVERAL LIGHT OPERAS CONSIDERED Mr. R. J. Young, musical director of the Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society, states that the Selection Committee is having great difficulty in securing a suitable opera fox- this season’s production. “Miss Hook of Holland” ox- “The Maid of the Mountains” had been chosen, Mr. Young observed, but neither would be released by J. C. Williamson Ltd., who control the productions. Other works are now under consideration including “Cingalee” and “The Count of Luxemburg.” It is hoped to begin rehearsals soon after Easter.
