ABERDEEN ANGUS SALE.
DISPERSAL OF KOIRO HERD A dispersal sale of the well-known Koiro Aberdeen Angus stud was held recently at Tokomaru on behalf of Mr. N. B. Gibbons. The Koiro stud was founded more than two decades ago, the original females being secured from the wellknown Akitio stud and representing several of their best known strains. Later the herd was strengthened by the importation of blood from Scotland of both males and females. The disposal of the herd was conducted-by Messrs. Abraham & Williams, Ltd., Dalgety & Co., Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson & Co., Ltd., there being a representative bench of buyers from all parts of Australasia. Practically every Aberdeen Angus stud in New Zealand was represented as well as a number of enterprising breeders who are entering the ranks of stud masters. Considering the dry season through which the Manawatu is passing these cattle were brought forward in excellent condition. The total herd, comprising 264 head of cattle met with one of the keenest sales experienced for many years, the total number being sold under the hammer in six hours.Purchases by Wairarapa buyers were —Mr. P.
