EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— At our weekly sale yesterday we submitted a small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle to a moderate attendance of the local farmers. Cull lambs sold well at prices in advance of recent auctions, whilst keen competition resulted for good b.f. lambs and breeding ewes. The cattle entry comprised mostly dairy sorts for which the market was slack. Pigs sold well at late rates. We quote sales as follow:—Medium sappy b.f. lambs, 14/3, small do. 11/1, small 2-th ewes 19/4, cull store ewes 6/-, 4-year ewes, low condition, 21/9, cull wether lambs 11/6, cull ewe lambs 17/9, cull m.s. lambs 7/3, cows in milk and due factory dates £5/10/-, £5, £4/12/6 to £4, unsound cows in milk £2, £2 16/-, store cows £3, £2/15/-, dairy cow with vealer £5/15/-, weaner pigs 14/-, 12/6 to 9/-, small do 5/-.
