Stains on wooden tables, caused by hot dishes having been placed thereupon should be rubbed with a cloth dipped into a mixture of equal parts of kerosene and methylated spirits. Follow up the process by polishing with beeswax and turpentine. It is usually difficult to measure out accurate quantities of honey when cooking, as it sticks badly to the spoon.
