METHODIST CHURCH.
WOMEN’S MISSIONARY AUXILIARY. MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the ladies’ Missionary Auxiliary of the Methodist Church was held in the Wesley Schoolroom yesterday afternoon, Mrs G. F. Stockwell presiding over a large attendance. After the preliminary business had been transacted, Miss V. Jackson sang a solo, which was greatly enjoyed. Miss E. Beale was appointed to act as secretary and treasurer for the next six months.
Mr Skuse who has recently been appointed to the Kuripuni Methodist Church, was introduced to the members.
Mrs Stockwell, on behalf of the members, in bidding farewell to Mrs H. Jones, who is leaving for Auckland, expressed regret at her departure and extended the best wishes of the members for her future. After a dainty afternoon tea had been served, Mrs J. Cocker presented Mrs Stockwell with a bouquet as a token of esteem on the occasion of her departure for Hawera, and wished Mrs Stockwell every happiness for the future.
