ALFREDTON SMALL FARM SETTLEMENT.

The following rules have been submitted to the Alfredton association and approved by the Secretary and Chairman. That the block of land now surveyed amounting to (say) 6250 acres be subdivided into 50 acre sections (more or less) to which is to be added a site for a town, to be afterwards chosen, by the Alfredton Small Farm Association.

That the price'originally fixed at 20s. per acre be reduced to 10s.

That a reserve of 50 acres for public purposes, be selected by the committee of the' Small Farm Association, and vested in Trustees to be nominated by the committee. That as soon as practicable after the selec tion of the site, the town comprising, say 100 acres shall be surveyed and laid off in quarter or half acre lots by the Government Staff, the comriiittee being called upon to pay the nett cost of such survey in addition to the upset price of 10s. per acre. The Government will then be prepared to sell the town lots -to one

or more members of the committee leaving it to them to re-sell at such a price as will repay them for the original ohtlay and incidental expenses. That'all former allotments made by the Small Farm Committee be paid for at the land office on or before the 31st March next. That each member of the association be furnished with a certificate signed by at least one member of the committee authorising the Commissioner of Crown Lands to sell to him one or more sections in the township, the Nos. of whjsh are to appear in the certificate. That no application be received at the Land office for sections within the Towuship, unless accompanied with the above 'certificate and the cash. That this arrangement hold good until'the 31st December 1869 after ■ which date the unsold sections in the township to be open for selection by the public Under the land regulations of the province.
