SEASON OPENED AT PIRONGIA.

The opening of the season for the Pirongia Tennis Club was the occasion of a large assemblage at the Courts on Saturday afternoon. Visitors from Paterangi and the surrounding .district were present, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. seats presented by Miss Miller were highly appreciated. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, and the arrangements throughout, thanks to the untiring efforts of Miss R. Fear and Mr Geo. Flynn, secretaries, were very satisfactorily carried out. Playing was continued until darkness compelled the party to disperse.
