POST OFFICE CLOCK.

The Chamber of Commerce was advised by the Secretary of the G. P. O. Wellington on the 4th inst., that plans had been approved and Public Works Department instructed. On the 17th inst, the Chamber sent along a reminder, that although the brickwork was nearing completion the contractor had not received any instructions about the tower. Yesterday, the following wire was received : " President Chamber Commerce, Te Awamutu. Public Works have just advised me that Engineer will be instructed at once about the tower. D. ROBERTSON, Secretary G.P.0., Wellington.""
