PETTY THIEVING.

Petty thefts have been frequently reported in connection with the local Public Library, but so far any efforts on the part of the committee have failed to locate the contemptible individual whose meanness allows him to steal rather than purchase and pay for a id paper. Confident of his future success he has evidently decided to make a business dealing with Library property, and has gone so far as to remove certain historic curios from the glass cases. Fortunately, this action has induced the committee to take further steps to endeavour to locate the perpetrator of these sneak thefts, and we hope before long, to publish some very interesting reading in our .Magistrate’s Court columns.
