COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report as follo'ws : Hamilton. On Wednesday, the 26th inst., we held our annual dairy cow sale, when some firstclass heifers and cows came forward, which, however, were somewhat dull of sale, although there were a good many buyers present. We quote as follows: —Dairy heifers (well forward) £7 lOs to £8 ss; others, £5 to £6. On Thursday, the 27th inst., we held our usual Hamilton stock sale, when a full yarding of sheep came forward, comprising mainly of hoggets and fat sheep. We also submitted fat cattle and pigs. We quote as follows: — Fat wethers 18s iod, fat ewes 13s 6d to 15s; fat lambs, I2s to 13s 9d ; ewes in lamb 14s ; ewe hoggets, I2s ; wether hoggets, Ils to Ils9d; fat heifers, £6 15s to £7 17s ; fat cows, £5 I2s to £6 10s ; mixed yearlings, 41s to 425; mixed yearlings (small) 365; dairy cows 165 s ; weaner pigs, 6s 4d to 8s 3d, slips Ils to Us 6d ; porkers 20s. Cambridge. —On Friday, the 28th inst., we held a clearing sale in the Cambridge yards on account of Mr Muirhead. All sheep were dull of sale, and very little bidding was done under the hammer. We, however, were successful in disposing of a good many after the sale. We quote as follows : —Ewes in lamb I2s to 13s, hoggets (small) 7s, yearlings 38s to 48s 6d, springing heifers £6 15 s.
