FOOTBALL.

A Meeting of members of the ' Te Awamutu Football Club was held in the Commereial Hotel on Wednesday evening, at which there was a very good attendance. Mr W. G. Abbott was in ' the chair, and in a short speech stated that the meeting had been called to consider a proposal to join the Cambridge Rubgy Union. Considerable discussion followed, which resulted in a proposal being made and carried by which it was decided to join the above-named Union.

Messrs Edwards, Cunningham, and W. Teddy were appointed delegates to attend the Union at Cambridge to define the boundaries of the Club and register a team for the year's contests.
