SPORTING.

Owing to an oversight, the name of Miss Wester 7st 71b, in the Hack Flying, was omitted from the acceptance list of the Waipawa Racing Club’s Birthday meeting. Football seems tfo l be dead in this district. At the annual meeting of the Waipawa Rugby Union, called for Wednesday last, only tho Takapau Club’s delegates put in an appearance. The Danovirke Lawn Tennis and Bowling Club’s ball will be held on the 30th May. An invitation to be present has been extended to the members of the Waipawa Club. Scotch Mist has been scratched for his engagements at the Waipawa Racing Club’s meeting.
