Amateur Dramatic Performance.

On Thursday night the Waipawa Dramatic Club will present a double bill that should meet with the approval of the public and satisfy the requirements of the most critical. “ Withered Leaves ” is a charming play of a humorous character, which affords scope for the display of histrionic ability. It has been strongly caste and diligently rehearsed, and will bo well mounted. In it Mrs A. E. Eameg will make her first appearance as a member of the club. The farce of “The Turkish Bath ” is from the joint pens of Montague Williams and F. C. Burnand, which is a sufficient guarantee of its merits. It should serve to send the audience home in a merry humour. Mr W. J. Staudloy will make his last appearance with tho club in the character of Tom Griggs, a part he should play to perfection. So mo new performers will make their first bow to a Waipawa audi. oncj in this farce, for which new scenery has been obtained. The club’s orchestra will play several selections during the evening. The box plan will bo opened nt 9 a.m, on Monday morning, at Mog. ridge’s stationery .depot. Those who wish to reserve seats should not neglect this opportunity, for n% reserve seat tickets will be sold at the doors.
