The Perthshire Sighted.

SYDNEY, Saturday The Whangaroa has arrired from New Zealand. She reports speaking the Perthshire 450 miles east of Sydney on Saturday last. The tail of the shaft is broken. All well aboard.
Sunday. The Whangaroa, from New Zealand, sighted the Perthshire at midnight on the 12th, 450 miles east of Sydney. Captain Cozens boarded her next day, and ascertained Bhe broke her tail shaft two days out from Sydney. When found she was lying between the traoks of Auokland and Wellington steamers. The oaptain wished to be taken to Sydney. The vessel’s position is longitude IGOdeg lOmiu east; latitnde 35deg 20min south. She is drifting backwards and forwards about 20 miles a day, bearing towards the eastward. When the Whangaroa left the disabled vessel she encountered rough weather. All are well on board. The tug Champion left last night in search. MORE TUGS IN SEARCH. DRIFTING TOWARDS NEW ZEALAND. NO PROGRESS UNDER SAIL. Sunday. Two more tugs have been sent in searoh of the Perthshire. The Mokoia, which sailed on Saturday keeps a look out. Strong westerly winds arc blowing, and it is expected that the vessel will drift towards New Zealand. The shaft broke in the tube, and it was impossible to mend it, but it was secured.
The Perthshire failed to make any progress under sail.
