A Thoughtful Monarch.
Lonc'on, May 10. King George, in a message to the nation, says: “Knowing so well my beloved father’s feelings, 1 am sure it would he contrary to his wishes if there were any interruption of the enjoyment of the public during Whitsuntide. I hope, therefore, that general mourning will not prevent my people taking the usual advantages of opportunities for rest, relaxation, and amusement in the coming days.”
