The Queen Mother.
London, May 10.„ It is noted that Canon Seott-Hol-land, preaching at St. Raul’s, referred to Queen Alexandra as the Queen Mother. It is understood that she will he thus entitled, instead of the Queen Dowagei. After the service in the Chapel Royal, Queen Alexandra individually thanked King Edward’s suite for their devotion to him. Queen Alexandra and Rrincess Victoria personally received the household in the death chamber when they farewelled the King. The Daily News says that an authority, one in the closest touch with the Court, states that King Edward was optimistic on Friday, and stated, •‘I am all right.” Ho even urged the Queen to attend the, opera. The Daily News adds that undoubtedly heart weakness, rather than bronchitis, caused the death of the King. It is officially stated tonight that, contrary to sinister rumours, Queen Alexandra is maintaining her health. She continues to display that fortitude and resignation which marked Hie first days of her bereavement.
