Hockey.
HAMILTON EAST. A largely attended meeting of those interested in the formation of a hockey club in Hamilton East was held last evening. Mr L. Hooper being voted to the chair. It was decided that a club be formed and that it be called the Rawhii Hockey Club. The colours of the club are to be white shirt and pants with red sash across the left shoulder and under tne right arm, and red braid down the outer seams of the pants. The membership fee was fixed at 2s 6d.
The following officers were appointed:—President, Mr I. Coates; vice-presidents, Messrs Jas. Primrose, J. Knight, J. Gordon, F. C. Hand, J. R. Fow, and Father Darby; hon. sceretary and treasurer, Mr W. 0. Snell.
The election of a captain and vicecaptain was deferred until some futjre meeting. It was decided to challenge the KiaKaha club, the match to be played next Saturday at 2.45 sharp, on the Claudelands show ground, when it is anticipated a most interesting game will result.
