Waharoa News.

On Friday last Mrs Griffin entertained some 40 or 50 to a dance in Mr Mitchell's woolshed. The night was all that could be desired and dancing was kept up to the early hours of the morning. Some 16 couples took the floor, music being supplied by Mr Grigsby on the accordeon. Mr J. Green acted as M.C., and gave every satisfaction. Several songs were sung and altogther a very enjoyable evening was spent and great credit is due to Mrs Griffin and Misses Mitchell and Cameron for the able manner in which everything was carried out.

On Friday, May Bth, the Waharoa branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation held its monthly meeting and decided to have a dance in July. Several other maters were discussed, principally that of the loading bank site at the railway station. The next meeting will take place on June 12th. —Own Correspondent.
