Advertising Australia.
Melbourne, May 15. Mr Deakin has announced that the Government has arranged to advertise for three months in the Standard’s new weekly supplement. Victoria and Westralia had associated themselves with the Commonweatlh in the matter. Unless Australia was always to remain in the background, advantage would have to be taken of opportunities like this. Mr Deakin promised to inquire into the statement that the Standard had instructed its Melbourne correspondent to cable all news via the Eastern Extension Compnay’s cable.
