Teaching in a Shed.
By Telegraph. —Press Association Feilding, Last Night.
For some time the Lytton!;street school, which is the second public school in Feilding, has had to work under cramped conditions, so much so that an overflow of 70 children has to be accommodated in a shed. The School Committee has applied in vain to the Department to provide proper accommodation, and has backed up by the Wanganui Education Board, but the reply of the Department has been that there was room for the overflow in the High School. The committee point out that there is neither room nor convenience at the High School, and last night they held an indignation meeting on the subject, and it was attended by over 100 parents. It was decided to send a deputation to Wellington to' interview the Minister for Education.
