The Dixon Case.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Drury Last Night. At another public meeting held here further steps were taken in the efforts to effect the release of Mr W. Dixon, who is undergoing two months' imprisonment for failure to pay the fine inflicted by Mr Northcroft, S.M., in connection with back wages' claim by a former employee. The following resolutions were carried: "1. That a deputation wait on the Hon. Jas. McGowan, Minister for Justice, requesting that the case of Mr W. Dixon be re-opened, and putting the facts before him. 2. That a public petition on the lines of the resolution be also presented to the Minister."
