North Island Egg-laying Competition.
* The 49th week of the competition promoted by the North Island Egglaying Competition Association, Ltd., at Cambridge, was concluded on Friday, 10th April, 1908. The number of eggs laid during the week was 719, being an average of 8.76 eggs per pen. Total number of eggs laid since Ist May is 81,482, being an average of 983.68 eggs per pen. Highest layings for the week: — Waikato Argus, Hamilton, Black Orpingtons, 21. W. J. Brookes, Mt. Albert, Silver Wyandottes, 21. C. Hammond, Ruakura, White Rocks, 21.
